Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Driver Near Maryland Medical Center

Detectives are investigating a crash that took the life of a pedestrian in Montgomery County, authorities say.

11/22/2022 2:14 p.m.

Paul Shinn, 46, was fatally struck by a vehicle around 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, in the area of Medical Center Way and Medical Center Drive in Rockville, according to Montgomery County police.

Investigation revealed that Shinn was crossing Medical Center Way when he was struck by a gray 2014 Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound on Medical Center Way toward Shady Grove Hospital. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.

Shinn was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
